Ohio at Perryville blog
Check out the above link for details about a guided hike of the beautiful battlefield at Perryville. This sounds like an outstanding opportunity, though I admit it would be quite a challenge to walk the entire hike.
I hope I can find a way to make it there that day, but if not, maybe some readers of this blog will see this and decide to attend.
Even if you cannot make it to this hike, I urge readers to find a way to visit Perryville and support the museum and park this year. It is a gorgeous place to visit, and it is quite humbling to think of the violence and suffering that occurred there.

Thanks for the cross promotion! The good news is that while there are ten miles of interpretive trails at Perryville, we'll be keeping this event to less than six (probably closer to five). And if folks can't do that, there are opportunities for them to head back to the visitor's center.
