Here is a post from the fine Seven Score and Ten blog that adds some official Confederate perspective about events in and around Kentucky in the late summer of 1861, closely related to the recent posts here from the Covington Journal about Kentucky and its attempts to remain netural.
I must admit I have not used the Official Records as a source on this blog often, so maybe that's something I can try to do more in the future, but I do appreciate that Mr. Gathman found this info as it fits very nicely into what I have been doing here.
