I have found more information than I expected so I figured having one page with the basics on it would be convenient. I either have written or will write posts about these men with the details I can find on their war experience.
I have linked a couple family-history sites to some of the names, and unit information for each separate regiment. For people in same family line or same unit, I only linked that information once.

I just stumbled across your site while looking for more info on the 14th KY Cavalry. Looks like we are VERY related. My Great-Great Grandfather was Henderson Turner. My great-grandmother was Haney Turner (mother Susan Sebastian). I'm rather sure there are family connections with many of the other names you've listed. I'm having an issue trying to contact you via email, so here's mine: gretanrufus@gmail.com. I'd love to exchange some info. I have some pictures on my Ancestry.com account you may be interested in.

ReplyDeleteHi Richard...
ReplyDeleteMy mom was a Turner. Wesley Turner was my great-great-great grandfather. I actually have his picture hanging up in my house. Boyd and Henderson Turner were my great-great-great uncles. Without looking too hard at my family tree, I would guess that you and I are 5th cousins. I also have "Heralds" in my family tree. I have actually more of your Turner relatives that served in the Civil War including Ned Turner who died at the Battle of Chickamauga in Georgie. Please contact me at dryfuse@gmail.com
Thanks and regards...
