Thanks you to Peggy Dempsey who saw my recent entries about the riots at Pike's Opera House in Cincinnati and forwarded me a link to her blog, containing the daily writings of an eastern Ohio woman during the Civil War. It looks quite fascinating and I look forward to following it. It will be interesting to see what kind of events this lady found noteworthy and the kind of opinions she formed.
From what I've read of the entries so far, she seems to have kept up on current military events and commented on them. Hopefully I find time soon to read more of the back-entries, while also watching for future ones as well. I have added it to my blogroll.
